ABOUT THE AUTHOR

The author and his wife live in rural Suffolk, England. Their adult children are dispersed about the globe offering handy stop-overs for their international travels, in exchange for a degree of domestic servitude given in support of mums n dads, kids, babies n toddlers in each location!
Extensive travel opportunities have taken them to some of the most charmed, exotic and beautiful corners of the world on almost every continent. Australia, Asia, Indian Ocean, Central America, the US, Canada, Southern Africa, Western Europe and of course their own British Isles. They retain some favourites, especially the huge geographical and climactic diversity of Australia, and the big beasts of Africa out there in the bush but so close on safari, and yet there is still so much to see and to experience that they fear they will run out of time before they tick all those bucket-list boxes.
Italy deserves another trip or two, so long it’s been since they were last there, and perhaps three new targets are looming over the horizon in India, Japan and New Zealand, but where to start in each, that’s the question?
Back at home, having just enjoyed a wonderful couple of weeks in the Durham Dales, they are gearing up for trips to Colorado, Scotland, Singapore and again Australia, and all before the year end.

Life has been tougher, and they never forget that.
